Privacy Policy

Overview
Page Pulse is a personal reading-time tracking app. This privacy policy informs you about which data is processed, how it is used and which rights you have.
Key principles:
- All data remains strictly private.
- No calculations on external servers: everything runs locally on your device.
- No sharing with third parties.
- Optional iCloud sync or local-only storage on the device running the app.
- Minimal data processing.
Data Collected
We only record data that you actively enter into the app:

Explicitly not collected:
- No personal data (name, email, address)
- No location data
- No device information beyond what is necessary
- No analytics shared with third parties
Data Storage
You have two storage options:
Option A: Local storage (default)
- All data is stored exclusively inside the app on your device.
- No external access possible.
- Uninstalling the app deletes the data.
Option B: iCloud sync (optional)
- Data is stored in your private iCloud.
- Synchronisation between your own devices.
- We have no access to your iCloud data.
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time.
Data Processing and Local Computation
The data stored in the app is used exclusively for:
- Personal statistics: displaying your reading performance.
- Prediction computation: estimating future reading times based on your individual profile.
- Functionality: enabling the app's features.
Important note on processing
All mathematical calculations and algorithms used to predict your reading times run exclusively on your device (on-device processing).
- No raw data or calculation results are transmitted to the developer or third parties.
- Even with iCloud sync enabled, data is only transferred as a backup; analysis and calculation are performed locally again on each of your devices.
No processing for:
- Advertising
- Profiling
- Sale to third parties
- Marketing purposes
Data Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties.
Exceptions (only where required by law):
- Upon official order from authorities
- To avert significant dangers
Your Rights
As a user you have the following rights:

| Withdrawal | You can disable iCloud sync at any time. |
| Complaint | You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. |
Deletion: Go to the app settings and disable iCloud sync; this removes the iCloud backup. Then uninstall the app, which permanently deletes all user data stored in the app container.
Security
We apply appropriate technical measures to protect your data:
- Local storage inside the app sandbox container
- iCloud transmission (if enabled)
- No data transmission over the internet (except iCloud sync)
- Server-side inaccessibility: because calculations happen locally, we technically cannot "see" the data used for the prediction.
Children's Privacy
This app is not primarily aimed at children under 13. We deliberately do not collect data from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy. You will find the latest version here. For material changes, we will inform you via the App Store when an update is provided.
Legal Notes
This privacy policy complies with App Store requirements and GDPR.

- You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
